Acceptable use & anti-spam policy
Last updated [EFFECTIVE DATE]
This Acceptable Use & Anti-Spam Policy applies to everyone who uses Kamu. It is part of our Terms of service. Because Kamu sends email and posts on your behalf, following these rules protects your deliverability, your recipients, and the whole platform.
1. You are responsible for your outreach
You are the sender of any message Kamu sends for you. You must have a lawful basis to contact each recipient and must comply with all applicable laws, including the CAN-SPAM Act, CASL, GDPR, and PECR.
2. Sending domains and identity
- Only connect domains and accounts you own or are authorized to use.
- Complete proper email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) for your sending domain.
- Never use false or misleading sender names, "from" addresses, subject lines, or header information.
3. Lists and consent
- Do not upload, target, or generate outreach to purchased, rented, or illegally scraped lists.
- Only contact business recipients for whom you have a legitimate reason and, where required, appropriate consent.
- Honor all opt-outs and unsubscribe requests promptly. Kamu maintains a suppression list and adds unsubscribes, bounces, and complaints to it automatically — do not attempt to circumvent it.
4. Message conduct
- Include a working unsubscribe mechanism and a valid physical postal address in commercial email (Kamu adds these automatically — do not remove or defeat them).
- Do not send content that is deceptive, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or that promotes illegal activity, malware, or fraud.
- Do not impersonate any person or organization.
5. Volume and deliverability
Respect the sending caps and pacing configured for your plan. Do not attempt to exceed limits or send at volumes that harm deliverability or platform reputation. We may throttle, pause, or suspend sending to protect recipients and shared infrastructure.
6. Platform integrity
Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, overload, probe, or circumvent the security or rate limits of the service, and do not use it to build a competing product or to violate any third-party platform's terms (for example, the terms of email, social, or search providers).
7. Enforcement
Violations may result in warnings, throttling, suspension, or termination without refund, and — where required — reporting to authorities. If you become aware of misuse, report it to hello@kamu.so.
